PROJECT OVERVIEW
Starting in 2006 as the Great Toowoomba Postcard Project, the Postcard Project was an open competition that invited artists from the Toowoomba community to showcase their work on souvenir postcards.
PROJECT DATES
2006-2008, 2010-2011
In 2010, six young artists had their work featured with a special presentation at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers’ Food and Wine Festival.
In 2011, ACT decided to change the approach to the Postcard Project and give member artists the opportunity to have postcards made of their artwork. It was a project of joint benefit with artists receiving postcards at a reduced price and Arts Council Toowoomba retaining cards to use as fundraising.
