In 2006, Arts Council Toowoomba Inc celebrated its launch by presenting a competition open to all members of the community to submit artwork for a souvenir postcard on the theme: ‘Toowoomba’.

The six winning artworks were professionally photographed and printed and are available as a set in a limited edition of 500 and are available through arts outlets and quality retailers including: Artshop, The Visitor Information Centre, Cobb & Co Museum, Quality Hotel Burke and Wills, The Gallery Shop and Comfort Inn.
The Great Toowoomba Postcard Project was launched at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery during the Carnival of Flowers. All entries were displayed during the Carnival of Flowers in the Heritage Flowers, Food & Wine tent.
